Listed are a few of the many questions asked by people in the community about Napa Valley TV.  If you do not see an answer to a question you may be inquiring about, feel free to call or e-mail a member of our staff.

Q. What are the hours of operation at Napa Valley TV?
A. We are open Monday through Friday from 10am to 6:00pm and closed on the weekends & holidays.  We also have recently designated "Monday Nights" and "Wednesday Nights" as our After-hours production and Live Productions.  If you are inquiring about a production during off-hours or for these designated live programming nights, our staff will do its best to assist in scheduling a time for you during your requested hours.  All off-hour productions must be authorized by the Executive Director or Station Manager.
 
Q. Can I become a volunteer at Napa Valley TV?
A. Absolutely!  We always try to encourage members of the community to volunteer and assist us with studio-produced programming.  Simply call our office and talk to Programming Coordinator, Justin Bernard or e-mail him to find out more.
 
Q. How can I become a member of Napa Valley TV?
A. We encourage memberships!  In fact, we have several types available. Membership is open to all Napa County residents and charges an annual fee of $20 for individuals, $30 for family memberships, and $70 for non-profit organizations.  Being a member provides access to use our facilities* and the capability to submit programs to air on our station.  Simply visit us and fill out the membership application.  That's all there is to it!
*(Appropriate training or sufficient knowledge is required to use our equipment)
 
Q. How do I submit a program?
A. If you are a Napa Resident, simply become a member (see how above) and submit your program.  Programming Coordinator, Justin Bernard will be able to assist you in finding an appropriate time slot for your program.
 
Q. I have a program I would like to produce, how can I do so?
A. Public access producers shall complete and submit a Channel Use Agreement and meet with Napa Valley TV staff to review the proposed program and anticipated utilization of Napa Valley TV equipment and facilities.  Napa Valley TV staff will provide guidance and assistance, upon request, in developing program proposals and planning a production.
 
Q. When and where are these classes offered?
A. All classes are held at the Napa Valley TV studios and require that you sign up prior to the class date/time  Our class schedules are posted online and can be found on our classes page. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call Napa Valley TV and ask for James Raymond.
 
Q. What formats do you accept when submitting a program?
A. Napa Valley TV is able to air programming in formats of ½” VHS, S-VHS, DVD, miniDV, and DVCAM, and has acquisition and editing capabilities in VHS, S-VHS, DV and DVCAM formats.
 
Q. What is the equipment checkout procedure?
A. All checkout equipment is available for maximum of three days (72 hours).  Extended checkouts must receive prior approval from the Executive Director or Station Manager.  Members will complete and sign the Equipment Checkout Procedures Agreement.  Please understand that you are responsible and liable for all equipment you check-out.
 
Q. Who do I contact if I cannot make a scheduled appointment?
A. Cancellations need to be made 24 hours in advance.  You can do so by calling our office at (707) 257-0574.  Any member of our staff will be able to cancel and reschedule you an appointment for another day.
