New programs airing
on Channel 27 in the month of DECEMBER 2008:
·
“Robert A.
Hansen Board Room Dedication”
– This
program honors Dr. Hansen, who was superintendent of the NVUSD from June
1976 until his retirement in 1988. He died in November 2006 at the age of
84. On the evening of Oct. 15th, family and friends gave
fitting tributes to Dr. Hansen at an official school board meeting. This
program is currently airing Sunday nights at 7pm and Monday nights at
9pm.

“Napa High
School Christmas Concert ‘07”
– Filmed
by Donna Ghiringhelli and airing for the first time during this year’s
holiday season. This program currently airs Sunday afternoons at 3:30pm
and Tuesday nights at 7:30pm.

“(1)Chemical Properties, (2)Chemical Reactions, (3)Cells, Tissues, Organs
and Circulatory System, and (4) The Heart”
– Four
science lessons taught by NVUSD elementary science coordinators Anjili
Chandran and Terri Assano. These programs are used as a review by
teachers for in-service education. These programs currently air Sunday
nights starting at 8pm, Wednesday nights starting at 7pm, and Friday
evenings at 6:30pm.
New programs airing
on Channel 28 in the month of DECEMBER 2008:

“Horse
Drawn Loose-Haying”
–
Taking place at the U.S. Park Service’s Grant-Kohrs Ranch n Deer Lodge,
Montana, this video takes the viewer back in time when horses, rather than
machines, were used to bring in the hay. This program currently airs
Sunday afternoons at 3:30pm and Thursday evenings at 6:30pm.

“Miles of
Music” –Hosted by guitarist
Bob Miles, this program formerly known as “World of Guitar” is an award
winning Music program which won 1st place in the entertainment category
for the Hometown Video Awards in all of North America. Former guests have
included, Les Paul, Steve Howe (Yes) John Oates, Pat Martino and many
music/jazz legends. This program currently airs Sunday afternoons at 2pm
and Friday nights at 7:30pm.

“An
Evening with Nuclear Blonde”
– Live at COPIA, this recorded
performance features a “behind the music” evening with Shauna Marshall and
the Nuclear Blonde band. Appearing with Shauna Marshall are Tom Bowers
(bass), Stu Viets (Sax), Steve Trovao (drums), Manabu Okuhara (guitar),
Steve Della Maggiora (keyboard), Dennis Harper (guitar and vocals) and
Phil Marshall (rhythm guitar/bass guitar).
